ENFIELD – David A. Lange, 68, passed away suddenly on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at his home in Enfield.
He was born in Waterbury on March 17, 1953 to the late Robert E. and Betty (Sullivan) Lange and lived most of his life in the East Mountain section of Waterbury, where he was also an avid golfer. He was a 1971 graduate of Crosby High School. For the past 22 years, he was an Electronics Technician for the United States Postal Service.
David loved golf and especially enjoyed his yearly golfing trips to Myrtle Beach, SC with friends. He was a caring soul who was always ready to lend a helping hand to others.
Dave thoroughly enjoyed family gatherings for holidays, meals, picnics or just chatting. His presence will be sorely missed by those he leaves behind: his sisters, Judy Lange (Bob) of Southington, Nancy Drouin (Philip) of Lewes, DE, Wendy Blanchette (Mark) of Bantam, and his brother Robert Lange (Stela) of Kensington. He was a loving uncle who will also be missed by his 8 nieces and nephews. He was honored to be godfather to two of them. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Karen Lange.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 8th, from 5-7pm at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 496 Chase Avenue. A “Celebration of Life” service for David will take place on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Mill Plain Union Church, 242 Southmayd Road, Waterbury. Friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to any favorite charity.
