CHESHIRE - Daniel W. Prince, Jr., known by family and friends as “Web”, 87, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018 at Regency House of Wallingford. He was the husband of Helen (Pooman) Prince.
Web was born July 18, 1930 in Hartford, the son of the late Daniel Webster and Frances (Tryon) Prince, Sr. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was the owner and operator of Ultra Metal Corporation. Web was an avid Golfer and Skeet Shooter winning the CT Skeet Shooting Championship in 1968. Web served on the Wounded Warrior Committee and was a life member of the Hamden Fish and Game club.
Besides his wife Helen of 42 years, Web is survived by his daughter Suzanne Prince (Anthony Oliva) of N. Haven; his step-son Anthony Paceoni (James Cordosa) of Sante Fe, NM; his step-daughter Deborah Sieffert (Douglas) of Clinton; his sister Lynn Bierly (Louis) of Tunkhannoc, PA; his grandchildren Jason Prince (Nancy), Daniel Prince IV, Jessica Bucholz (Ian), Justin Prince and Jinda Vogel (Josh); his great grandchildren Koletrane and Elliette; as well as his three nephews Paul, Dan and Tom Bierly. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his sons Daniel W. Prince, III, and Douglas W. Prince.
Arrangements - A graveside service with Military honors will be held at the convenience of the family and there are no calling hours. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire is assisting with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 200 Executive Blvd., Southington, CT 06489-1058.
