Roger Dandeneau

Naugatuck, CT Roger E. Dandeneau, 93, passed away unexpectedly October 6, 2022 at his home. Roger was the husband of the late Joyce A. (Ransom) Dandeneau, to whom he was married for 54 years.

Roger was born June 18, 1929 in Westbrook, Maine son of the late Leo and Cecilia Dandeneau. Roger lived in Naugatuck since he was 18 years old and retired from the footwear division of Uniroyal, Inc. After he retired, he worked at PTA Corporate in Oxford, CT. Roger was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church and was a 50 year member and 3rd Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus, OJEDA Council #33.

Roger was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. He enjoyed dancing with his late wife and over the years they won several dancing competitions throughout the state.

Roger is survived by his children, Mark Dandeneau and his wife, Barbara of Naugatuck, Roger Dandeneau of Bristol, Yvonne Ober and her husband, Bradd of Falls Village and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and his wife, Roger was predeceased by four sisters and one brother.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck. Everyone is asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 5:00 to 8:00pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck.
