Kevin John Daly Sr., beloved husband of Regina T. Daly (Toole) of 62 years entered heaven on
November 29, 2021 surrounded by loved ones at Manchester Hospital.
Born at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, CT on March 5, 1936, son of the late Charles F. Daly
and Marie Meegan Daly, he was raised in Naugatuck, CT. He graduated from Naugatuck High
School in 1954 and was class president for all 4 years. A lover of sports, Kevin excelled in
football, basketball and baseball at Naugatuck High and was captain of all three teams. Kevin
Daly continued his athletic career at Deerfield Academy with an athletic scholarship in football
and baseball. He then went on to study and play baseball at Brown University in Rhode Island.
Kevin found the perfect career for a fun loving Irishman who loved people and people loved him.
Sales. He thrived at Owens & Minor for over 45 years winning many accolades like Man of the
Year.
In his spare time, Kevin coached all of his sons in baseball and his daughter in softball. He also
attended numerous basketball games, football games, dance recitals, piano recitals, baptisms
and weddings of his children and grandchildren over the years. He would not miss them. They
were all lucky to have him in their lives.
Along with his loving wife, Regina, he leaves his children; a son Kevin J. Daly Jr. and his wife,
Ann, of Waterbury; a son Michael C. Daly and his wife, Linley, of Albuquerque, NM; a son
Damian P. Daly and his wife, Jeanne, of Summerville, SC; a daughter Meegan Goodale and her
husband, Dana, of South Windsor. He also leaves his 18 grandchildren whom he adored,
Caitlin, Jessica, Lauren, Ryan, Maya, Alison, Sarah, Jenna, Megan, Samuel, Nicole, Shane,
Luke, Carson, Dempsey, Braden, Nolan and Mary Grace.
He was predeceased by his mother and father, Charles F. Daly and Marie Meegan Daly; his
brother and his wife Charles H. Daly and Marge Daly; his sister Maureen Walden; his
sister-in-law, Anne Magure; his nephew Dennis Maguire and his nephew John Maguire.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 10:00am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck, CT 06770. All are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. Friends and family may call on Monday, December 6, 2021 from 5:00-7:00pm at Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck, CT 06770.
