D. Warren Brooks

Cheshire - D. Warren Brooks, 89, of Cheshire, passed away Tuesday November 10, 2009 at Mid-State Medical Center in Meriden. He was the husband of Alice (Goodwin) Brooks.

Mr. Brooks was born July 8, 1920 in Meriden the son of the late Albert and Frieda (Munchow) Brooks. In 1995 Mr. Brooks moved to Elim Park where he was very active in the daily life of the community. He assisted several residents as well as the Village Shop at Elim with their accounting. He had volunteered on various committees and with weekly Chapel responsibilities.

Besides his wife, Mr. Brooks is survived by his two granddaughters; a nephew and several nieces. He is pre-deceased by his daughter Linda Fitzsimmons.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday November 21, 2009 at Elim Park 150 Cook Hill Rd., Cheshire in Nelson Hall at 1 p.m. Burial will be held at a later date in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Meriden. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made in Warren's name to Elim Park Development Department, 150 Cook Hill Rd., Cheshire, CT 06410. The Slater Funeral Home, 242 S. Main St., Cheshire is in charge of arrangements.
