Cynthia "Cindy" Engle

Cynthia “Cindy” (Treffery) Engle, age 65, of Waterbury passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital after a short illness. She was born on May 16, 1956 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Averill and Annie (Henderson) Treffery.

Cindy loved spending time with her family, she fancied family outings, playing cards and travel. Cindy was a Bingo fanatic and a sun worshiper, catching rays and enjoying the outdoors.

She is survived by her daughter, Heather Santamaria of Longview, WA; her longtime companion, Fred of Waterbury; and her siblings, Patrick Treffery and his wife, Anita of Tacoma, WA, William Treffery and his wife, Nicole of Oakville, Ronald Treffery and his wife, Barbara of Ft. Myers, FL, Myron Treffery of Sanford, FL and Birdina Grifa of East Haven. Cindy is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Kattie Engle of Waterbury, Samantha Jannetty of New Haven, Chloe Jannetty of Waterbury and Riley Engle of New Haven and several loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Keith Engle.

Services for Cindy will be private and at the convenience of her family. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury has been entrusted with her care.
