Naugatuck, CT Paulo G. “Paul” Cunha, 48, died peacefully on June 20, 2018 at Waterbury Hospital.

Paul was born on May 9, 1970 in Jamaica Queens, NY the son of Margarida Tavares Cunha and the late Henrique Cunha. Paul worked as a network engineer in the medical field and was also a certified mechanic. He loved hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle; he was a master diver and an NRA Instructor. Paul was a member and past 2 term president of the Clube Uniao Portuguesa and a member and eagles riders road captain of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 640.

Paul is survived by his mother and his step father, Margarida Cunha and Wilfredo Martinez; his fiancée, Mariann Vallillo; his step son, Shawn Waldhauser; his uncle, Cesare Oliveira; his aunt, Ana Aresta and his many cousins and countless friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00am at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 2071 Baldwin Street, Waterbury. Everyone is asked to please meet at church. Calling hours are Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. In lieu of flowers and to honor Paul’s memory, donations are requested to the Little Guild Animal Shelter, 285 Sharon-Goshen Turnpike, West Cornwall, CT 06796.
