Alberto Costa

Naugatuck - Mr. Alberto Jesus Costa, age 66, of 68 Nixon Ave., died Friday January 14,2011 at his home after a long illnes. he was the husband of Adelaide (Silva) Costa.
Mr. Costa was born in Oliveira de Azemeis, Portugal on October 23,1944 son of Lucinda DeJesus of Naugatuck and the late Armindo Costa. He was retired from Teleflex and was the former owner and operator of Naugatuck Valley Cleaning Service and a member of the Portuguese Club of Naugatuck.
Besides his wife and mother, Mr. Costa is survived by a daughter: Marcia Bastos and her husband Alvaro of Naugatuck, one sister: Margarida Almeida and her husband Alirio of Naugatuck, one brother: Manuel Costa and his wife Francilina of Naugatuck, two grandchildren: Jennifer and Daniel Bastos both of Naugatuck and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter: Ana Paula Costa.
Mr. Costa's family would like to thank Dr. Sabbath and the staff at the Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center and also the V.N.A. Hospice of Waterbury for the loving and compassionate care that they provided.
The funeral will be held on Thursday January 20,2011 at 9:15 a.m. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home 26 Waterbury Rd. Route 69 Prospect to Our Lady of Fatima Church 2071 Baldwin St. Waterbury for a mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery in Naugatuck. Friends may call at the fuenral home on Wednesday January 19, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m.
