Naugatuck-Anthony Coppola, Jr., 69, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Florence (Miller) Coppola.
Mr. Coppola was born on July 14, 1941 in Naugatuck a son of the late Anthony Coppola Sr. and Genevieve (Caliento) Coppola. He was a Director of buildings and grounds for the past 20 years for the Waterbury Housing Authority. He was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Vietnam War and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Besides his wife of Naugatuck he is survived by one son, David Terni, Jr. and his wife Karen of Prospect, one sister, Ida Jane Coppola of Naugatuck, one brother, Joseph Coppola and his wife Eileen of East Haven, two grandchildren David Terni, III and Meghan Terni.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Rd Naugatuck. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Rd, Rte. 69, Prospect on Monday evening from 5-8 p.m.
