George Coelho

Prospect-George Ralph Coelho, 90, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his wife Wanda (Zdonick) Coelho.

Mr. Coelho was born on August 16, 1922 in Waterbury a son of the late Francisco Coelho and Casilda (Borges) Coelho. He was retired from Bristol Co. He was a talented craftsman, who enjoyed woodworking. He possessed a great sense of humor and enjoyed music of the 30's/40's. He was proud to serve his country in WWII and also proud of his Portuguese heritage.

He is survived by his son, Edward Flanagan of New Canaan, two grandchildren, Lori Vincent and Edward Jr. and three great-grandchildren Dylan, Riley and Ella. He also leaves a very special friend Levi Hardy of Prospect.

Besides his wife and parents he was predeceased by six siblings.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Rd, Prospect. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until the service begins.
