Christopher J. "Big Dog” Rowe, Sr., 52, of Naugatuck, died Monday Dec. 29, 2014 at the Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was the husband of Dana (Smith) Rowe.
“Big Dog” was born in Bridgeport, Jan 6, 1962, a son of Joseph A. Rowe, Sr., and the late Louise (George) Rowe and was a graduate of Roger Ludlow High School. He had been a Naugatuck resident for the past 26 years, moving here from Fairfield, and had been employed by Frito-Lay until his medical retirement. He was a member of the Naugatuck Lodge of Elk’s # 967, the Fraternal Order of Eagles-Naugatuck Arie # 640, and the Polish American Club.
Besides his father of Maine and Florida and his wife, he leaves a son, Christopher J. Rowe, Jr.; a brother Joseph Rowe, Jr. all of Naugatuck and a sister, Diane Nichols of Stratford.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday Jan 3, 2014 at 5 p.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the time of the service.
