CHESHIRE - Eugene

CHESHIRE - Eugene “Gene” Francis Misiewicz Jr., 51, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017. He was the husband of Crista (Nolan) Misiewicz.

Gene was born December 25, 1965 in New Haven, the son of the late Eugene F. Misiewicz Sr. and Janet (O'Dell) Misiewicz. He was raised in Derby and was a member of the Graduating Class of 1983 from Derby High School. He continued his education by obtaining a degree in Marketing at CCSU; Nursing at Quinnipiac and graduating from UNH with a Masters in Healthcare Administration.

Gene worked at Yale New Haven Hospital as a Registered Nurse. He was an avid fisherman and gardener and loved the NY Yankees and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Besides his wife and his mother of Derby, Gene is survived by his daughters Alyssa, Carly, and Julie; his brothers Mark Misiewicz of Manchester, CT and Kirk Misiewicz, his wife Vivi, and their daughter, Olivia, of Tahoe City, CA.

Arrangements – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 12 pm at St. Thomas Becket Church Cheshire. Friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S.
