CHESHIRE - Mr. William E. "Bill" Chase, age 73, passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 18, 2011, at Saint Mary's Hospital in Waterbury. He was the husband for 25 years of Roslynn A. (Verzier) (Worden) (Walsh) Chase.

Mr. Chase was born in Bristol on May 20, 1938, son of the late George Dewey and Doris (Maynard) Chase. He was currently an employee of Roli Retreads in Farmingdale, N.Y., and had formerly worked for many years at the Bristol Auto Arcade. He was a life member of the Bristol Fish and Game Club and was an avid model train enthusiast. He also enjoyed spending time at the casino, dining out and at home, time tending to his garden and his dear cats, Missy and Sparky.

Besides his wife, Mr. Chase is survived by two sons, Thomas Chase and his wife, Debra, of Providence, R.I., and George Chase and his wife, Luann, of Bristol; a daughter, Patricia Riel and her husband, Francis, of Bristol; his stepchildren, Lori (Worden) Imdad and her husband, Husan, of Bangladesh and Robin (Worden) (Elkins) Rajeh of Texas; three grandchildren, Megan Riel, Greg Chase and Mikey Chase; and six step grandchildren, Tysear, Chris and Thomas Rajeh of New York, Nicki Elkins of Ohio, Kadin Imdad of Bangladesh and Bushra Gonsalves and her husband, Michael, of New York.

A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at noon at the Church of the Epiphany, 1750 Huckins Road, Cheshire. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Bristol. There are no calling hours. The Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Road, Route 69, Prospect, is in charge of arrangements.
