NAUGATUCK - Charlotte Couch, 85, passed away Monday, September 26, 2016. She was the wife of the late Marvin M. Couch.

Mrs. Couch was born June 7, 1931 in Callao, VA, the daughter of the late Grover C. and Ally R. (Jewell) Elmore. She was a longtime Naugatuck resident moving to town in the early 1960s.

Mrs. Couch is survived by her daughter Patricia Heavin and her husband Philip of Naugatuck,

her son David Couch and his wife Aletta of Naugatuck ; her grandchildren Christopher Couch, Philip Heavin Jr., Maureen Nixon, Brian Heavin, Jennifer Heavin and Monica Couch; her 11 great grandchildren; as well as her daughter-in-law Jacquelyn Couch of Naugatuck. She was predeceased by her six brothers; her son Ronald Couch and her grandson Garrett Couch.

Charlotte was devoted to her family. She enjoyed spending time with and caring for her grandchildren. She was well known for her southern fried chicken and was a big fan of the UCONN Huskies Girls Basketball team. She will be missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Staff at Regal Care of Prospect and the VITAS staff for taking such great care of her during her time there.

Arrangements - Funeral services for Mrs. Couch will be held on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 5:30pm at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow Street. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Virginia. Visitation will be held from 4p.m. until the time of the service at 5:30. Memorial contributions may be made to the VITAS Innovative Hospice Care, 199 Park Rd. Ext., Suite 102, Middlebury, CT, 06762-1833.
