CHESHIRE - Charles E. Lucore, 88, passed away May 1, 2010 at the Alzheimer's Resource Center in Plantsville. He was the husband of Eleanor (Casertano) Lucore.
Mr. Lucore was born September 5, 1921 in Jay, PA, the son of the late Edwin and Florence (Oshell) Lucore. He was a WWII Veteran serving in the Merchant Marine. He was a longtime Cheshire resident moving to town after WWII. He owned several businesses and enjoyed traveling and hunting.
Besides his wife of over 50 years, Mr. Lucore is survived by his son Dr. Charles L. Lucore and his wife Paula of Springfield, IL; his daughter Candy Nesbit and her husband Richard of Cheshire; his three grandchildren Taylor Nesbit, Jordan Lucore, Christopher Lucore; as well as many nieces and nephews. Mr. Lucore is predeceased by his thirteen siblings and his grandson Alexander C. Lucore.
Arrangements - Funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 5, 2010, 9:15 from the Alderson funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. to St. Bridget Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
