Celso Lopez

Celso Lopez, 73, of Waterbury passed away Monday, December 7, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury. He was the husband of Minerva Rodriguez.

Celso was born May 13, 1936 in Ciales, Puerto Rico and was the son of the late Luciano Lopez and Maria (Caraballo) Cuevas. Celso worked at Zabers Catering as a Chef prior to his retirement.

Besides his wife Celso is survived by a son, Angel Luiz Lopez, of Egg Harbor City, NJ, six daughters, Aida Luz Zayas of Ventnor, NJ, Carmen Haydee Torres and her husband Angel Luis of Egg Harbor City, NJ, Miriam Perez of Galloway, NJ, Minerva Lopez, of Egg Harbor City, NJ, Nancy Lopez of Florida, Shahida Minerva Rivera of Waterbury, CT, three brothers Luciano Lopez of Puerto Rico, Armando Lopez of Puerto Rico, Reynaldo Lopez of Puerto Rico, two sisters Carmen Lopez of Puerto Rico, Anna Rosa Lopez of Puerto Rico, eighteen grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.

Arrangements- Funeral Services for Celso are private. There are no calling hours. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. The Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave, is in charge of the arrangements.
