Beloved Mother-Grandmother, Great-Grandmother

CHESHIRE – Mrs. Catherine (Harmon) White, 97, formerly of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2014 at Elim Park in Chehsire surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Preston L. White, Sr.

Mrs. White was born on April 27, 1917, in Waterbury, daughter of the late Maurice F. and Catherine (Hurley) Harmon. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School.

She leaves her sons Preston (Louise) White of Cheshire, Neal (Lois) White of Torrington, and her daughters Kathryn (Richard) Lord of Boxford, MA and Janice (Ronald) Pugliese of Southbury. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

A sincere thank you to the wonderful and caring staff at Elim Park who provided Catherine and her family with so much joy, comfort and compassion when she lived there. Thanks for all of the laughs, hugs and kisses!

Arrangements – A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday August 29, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St., Cheshire. Friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery in Waterbury and there are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Elim Park Healthcare Center Employee Emergency Fund, 140 Cook Hill Road, Cheshire, CT 06410. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire is assisting with arrangements.
