Wallingford, CT Rosemary Carver, 95, passed away peacefully at Masonicare Health Center Hospice, Saturday, January 18, 2020.

Rosemary was born March 14, 1924 the daughter of the late James and Rose (Behlman Fox) Carroll. Formerly of Southbury, she raised her family in Naugatuck where she lived for many years. During WW II, she assembled military aircraft instruments as part of the “Rosie the Riveter” team while her fiancé (and later husband), Ed, was fighting in the Pacific. Rosemary was primarily a homemaker but somehow managed to find time to work as a sales associate at G. Fox & Company while raising four boys. She was very active with St. Francis School and Church where she taught catechism classes for many years. She enjoyed gardening in her younger days, making floral arrangements, and traveling to Europe and other parts of the world with her long time traveling companion, the late Phyllis Belanger. She also enjoyed painting, which she did up to her final days.

Rosemary leaves behind two sons, Don Carver (Carol) of Middlebury and Vincent Carver of Norwich; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Agnelo) Martins of Mrytle Beach, S.C., Tara (Jack) Doyle of Ivoryton, Eric Carver of Charleston, S.C. and Lauren Carver of Brooklyn, NY, and four great-grandchildren, Jaelyn Mendoza, Breanna Martins, and Charlotte and Jack Doyle. She was predeceased by her husband Edward, and sons, Frederick, Robert, and James.

Rosemary’s family would like to thank Masonicare Health Center Hospice, the Franciscan Hospice and the Masonic staff of Ramage 6 for their care and support.

Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family in the spring. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
