Carrie Swartz

BRISTOL- Carrie Mae (Murray) Swartz, 92, formerly of Cheshire left this world on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Countryside Manor in Bristol, CT, to be reunited with her devoted husband of 60 years Walter A. Swartz.

She was born Oct. 23, 1920 in New Haven, CT. Carrie and Walter lived in Cheshire, CT for 36 years before retiring to Westbrook, ME. They were members of the Cheshire Untied Methodist Church. They also worked as partners in their own accounting business.

She is survived by two sons, Timothy and his wife Christine Swartz of Plantsville, and Dr. Jonathan and his wife Nancy Swartz of Yonkers, NY; a daughter Susan and her husband Dr. Daniel Krell of Hiram, ME; and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family would like to express their gratitude to all Carrie's caregivers in Maine and Connecticut.

Arrangements: A private graveside service for Carrie will be held at Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St, 06410 is in charge of the arrangements.
