Carolyn M. Anastasiou

Carolyn M. Anastasiou, age 73, of Naugatuck entered into rest on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the devoted wife of the late Stavros Anastasiou. Carolyn was born on July 2, 1946 in Yorkshire Hull, England, daughter of the late Ernest and Mary Ellen (Johnson) Wilson.

Carolyn worked as a nurse’s aide at Griffin Hospital and in the Valley area for several years and also dictated medical records. She lived in Greece with her husband for 15 years and was a huge fan of Walker, Texas Ranger. She enjoyed watching birds, especially cardinals and adored her granddaughter’s dogs. Carolyn will be remembered for her kindness and generosity, and the loving nature of her personality.

She is the beloved mother of Daniel Wilkinson and his wife, Liz Hulas, Jacqueline Hurlburt and Audrey Wilkinson, all of Naugatuck. Carolyn also leaves her loving grandchildren, Casey Hurlburt and her significant other, Jeffrey Jurzynski of Oxford, and Josh Hurlburt and his fiancée, Reene Rivera of Waterbury; and her cherished great-granddaughter, Ophelia Hurlburt-Rivera.

A Graveside Service will be held for Carolyn on Monday, December 16, 2019 at 12PM in New Pine Grove Cemetery, 850 Meriden Road, Waterbury. Memorial contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association of CT, 127 Washington Ave., 3rd Floor-West, North Haven, CT 06473-1716.
