PROSPECT - Mr. Paul Donald Cappella, 86, formerly of New Haven, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, at Saint Mary's Hospital. He was the husband of 62 years to Dorothy (Clark) Cappella.

Mr. Cappella was born in Waterbury Aug. 6, 1925, a son of the late Mario and Mary (Mocciola) Cappella. He was retired from Mighty Distributors in New Britain, where he worked as an auto parts salesman for many years, and he formerly worked as a hairdresser. He was a member of the Naugatuck Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Mr. Cappella was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during World War II.

Besides his wife, Mr. Cappella is survived by a sister, Grace Adams of Guilford, a brother, Joseph A. Cappella of Florida, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial talk will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Road, Route 69, Prospect. There are no calling hours. Committal services and burial will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at Old Pine Grove Cemetery, 390 Meriden Road, Waterbury.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Naugatuck Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 49 Bowman Drive, Naugatuck 06770.
