Henry Cabral

Naugatuck-Henry J. Cabral, 82, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Janet (Stankiewicz) Cabral.

Mr. Cabral was born on August 25, 1931 in Waterbury a son of the late Joseph T. Cabral and Florence (Marino) Cabral. He was retired from Kimberly-Clark where he worked for many years. He was a veteran of the US Army and was an avid Red Sox and UCONN Women's basketball fan.
Besides his wife of 57 years, Janet he is also survived by one daughter, Shirley Drost of Waterbury, two sons, Michael Cabral of Naugatuck and Stephen and Anne Cabral of Charlton, NY, one sister, Dolores Painter of Prospect, three brothers and their wives, Lawrence and Rosalynn Cabral, Joseph and Joan Cabral and Ronald Cabral. He will also be missed by six grandchildren, Tim and his wife Melissa Harris, Robert Harris, Matthew Drost, Emmali, Zachary, and Jacqueline Cabral three great grandchildren, Josselynn, Dannessa and Mackenzee Harris as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother Brian and sister Shirley Cabral.

The funeral will be held on Friday, January 31, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Rd, Rte. 69, Prospect to St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church for a mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial with full military honors will be in St. James Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
