William Bivona

William (Biff) Bivona, 60, of Middlebury passed away peacefully on November 18, at his home in the loving presence of his wife and soulmate, Mary Lou (Brett), and children, Kathleen, Jackie, Joe, and Bill.

Biff was born on July 28, 1955 in Stamford to Anthony and Dorine (Holland) Bivona. He had a gentle personality that was evident through his music, his painting, and his love for his family.

In addition to his wife, children, and mother, Biff is survived by his siblings Dan and wife Jeanne, Lyn and husband John, Kristen and husband Richard, Andy, Kerry and husband Ned, and P.J. and wife Michele. He is also survived by his father-in-law Joe Brett, brother-in-law Bob Brett, sisters-in-law Kathy Callahan (Dan) and Rosemarie Murray, and best friend of 45 years, Skip Shaw. Biff has many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who remain to celebrate his life. He was greeted in heaven by his father Tony, sister Monica, and mother-in-law Lucille.

The family would like to thank Dr. Joseph Bowen and his wonderful staff for their unwavering kindness and compassion over the years.

A Mass celebrating Biff’s life will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Peter and Paul Church, 67 Southmayd Road, Waterbury, CT.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center, 1075 Chase Pkwy Waterbury CT 06708.
