Angelo Bianca

Woodbury, CT Angelo Paul Bianca, 90, died peacefully on April 2, 2024 at Waterbury Hospital.

Angelo was born December 24, 1933 in Waterbury, CT a son of the late Vincenzo and Antoinette Bianca. He was raised in Waterbury, CT and graduated from Leavenworth High School. Angelo proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and before retiring in 1993, he worked as a self-employed general contractor. He enjoyed golfing and cruises; had a great sense of humor, a quick wit and was an avid storyteller.

Angelo is survived by his son, Robert Bianca and his wife, Regina of Naugatuck, CT; his son, Jon Bianca of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; his granddaughter, Alyssa Bianca and her husband, James Nolan of New York, NY; his grandson, Jake Bianca of Boston, MA and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Angelo was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph Bianca and Paul Bianca; his sister, Bridget Agati and his wife, Joanne (Roucco) Bianca.

Family and friends will gather to honor and celebrate Angelo’s life on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. In lieu of flowers and to honor Angelo’s memory, donations are requested to American Legion Post #17, P.O. Box 226, Naugatuck, CT 06770, ATT: VA & R Fund.
