WATERBURY; Beverley Frances Hodgdon, 85, of Waterbury passed away Tuesday May 31, 2022 at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury.
Beverley was born October 25, 1936 in Wolcott, a daughter of the late Gordon A. and Jessie (Leavenworth) Hodgdon and was a longtime Waterbury resident. She was a graduate of Crosby High School and had worked for the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation retiring in 2002 after many years of service. Beverley was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed many hobbies, including, gardening, needlework and stained glass. She loved animals and was an avid horseback rider. She was also a member of Mill Plain Union Church in Waterbury.
Beverley had a heart of gold and will be missed by her family and friends.
She leaves her beloved daughter Patricia Fowler of Stratford, her grandchildren, Theresa Castillejo and Anthony Fowler, her great grandchildren, Daniel and James Castillejo, three nieces in Washington state and cousins in Maine. She also leaves her special friend and neighbor, Larry Sarandria. Beverley was predeceased by her loving companion, Earl Sanford and her sister, Charlotte (Hodgdon) Jackson.
A graveside service in celebration of Beverley’s life will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 7, 2022, in Grove Cemetery, 1 Cross Street, Naugatuck. There are no calling hours.
