Betty Jane Hallquist

Betty Jane Hallquist, 92, of Cheshire, beloved wife of Roy E. Hallquist for 73 years, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2024. Betty was born on February 8, 1931, in Harrisburg, PA, to the late Edgar and Arline Lance.

In addition to her husband, Roy, Betty is survived by her daughter, Lynn Hallquist; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by six brothers and one sister.

Betty and Roy were long time residents of Trumbull and Newtown before moving to Cheshire. She was active in Trinity Baptist Church and Black Rock Church, both in Fairfield. She was also a member of the Christian Women’s Club in Trumbull. Betty and Roy loved traveling cross country in their motorhome – making their way up and down the East coast, as well as across the United States visiting friends and family. Betty enjoyed watching Roy as he drove in NASCAR races for many years. She was a devoted wife and mother and her memory will live on in those who love her.
