Betsey Czombos

Betsey Ellen (Kroeber) Czombos, 64 of Waterbury passed away peacefully with her children by her side on Saturday, July 3, 2010, at Saint Mary's Hospital in Waterbury.

Born on July 8, 1945, Betsey was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Eleanor (Pogmore) Kroeber and brother Jack Kroeber. Left to cherish her memory are, daughter Kimberly Andrade and son-in-law Carlos, daughter Jennifer Carroll and son-in-law Robert, daughter Beverly Azzaro and Steven Sullivan, son Jacob Sanchez, son Joshua Sanchez, and daughter-in-law Nancy, sisters Marcia Cutrole and Mary Collins, nephew Bruce Harrington, niece Lisa Toomey, granddaughters Miranda and Isabella Sanchez, grandsons Evan and Luke Sanchez, great nephews Brendan and Austin Toomey and several relatives.

Betsey will be especially missed by her dog Max, her faithful companion who was always by her side. Betsey was a waitress at various diners in Bridgeport and Monroe. She enjoyed playing bingo especially at the casino, gardening, being at the beach and loved being surrounded by family and friends.

Calling hours are Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The Mulville Funeral Home of Waterbury, 270 West Main Street in Waterbury. A mass to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2010, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Augustine Church, 35 Washington Avenue, Seymour, Ct. family and friends are asked to meet directly at Church. Burial will be at the convenience of her family. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Smilow Cancer Center at Yale-New Haven Hospital 333 Cedar Street New Haven, CT 06520.
