NAUGATUCK — Anthony William (Brud) Berardi, Jr., 69, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at Saint Mary's Hospital in Waterbury. He was the loving husband of Lorraine Marie (Bellemare) Berardi for 48 years.
Mr. Berardi was born on Aug. 15, 1943, in Waterbury, a son of the late Concetta (DiLuzio) Berardi and Anthony William Berardi, Sr. of Wolcott, and the stepson of Rose Berardi of Wolcott. He was an electrician for many years and retired from Local Union 488. He enjoyed going to Rhode Island beaches and visiting all local casinos with his wife.
Besides his wife, he is also survived by his daughter, Denise Marie Berardi of Naugatuck; his son, Anthony W. Berardi, III of Waterbury; a sister, Nancy Berardi of Naugatuck; and his two brothers, William Berardi and his wife, Lynn, of Naugatuck, and Robert Berardi and his wife, Julie, of Prospect. He also leaves two grandsons, Jacob E. Crosby of Naugatuck, and Matthew Berardi (M.J.) who is serving overseas, in addition to many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his mother, he was also predeceased by a sister, Joan (Berardi-Colucci) Creaven.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Thomas Greco, MD, PC and his staff for all their care and efforts throughout many years.
A memorial Mass will be held on Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Road, Naugatuck. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck, is in charge of the arrangements.
