Benjamin J. Nazzaro

Cheshire – Benjamin J. Nazzaro, 68, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Mid-State Medical Center.

Mr. Nazzaro was born March 15, 1948, in New Haven, a son of the late Benjamin and Alice (Vecchio) Nazzaro. Before his retirement, he was the owner of Timberline Office Supply for over 30 years in Cheshire, where he was known to all in town and became lifelong friends with his employees and the local community.

In addition to his mother, Benjamin is survived by his beloved son, Benjamin C. Nazzaro of Florida, and his three brothers, Anthony Nazzaro, Dan Nazzaro, and Mark Nazzaro. He also leaves behind his sisters-in-law, Lisa Nazzaro, Marylynn Nazzaro, Graye Nazzaro; and many loving nieces and nephews in addition to 2 grandnieces and 1 grandnephew.

Ben was a strong yet gentle easy-going soul who was always up for an adventure whether it be a golf weekend with his brothers and friends, a trip down to Florida to see his son, or hosting friends and family at his Vermont house. He was a trusted confidant to many who sought out his council. His family and friends will surely miss his wisdom and unfaltering guidance. Ben's favorite spot to be was anywhere he could light up one of his favorite cigars and surround himself with good company.

Arrangements – The funeral for Mr. Nazzaro will be Thursday, September 22, 2016 for 10:00 a.m. services at St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St., Cheshire. Friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow at St. Bridget Cemetery, Higgins Road, Cheshire. Friends may call at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home, 615 S Main Street, Cheshire on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
