Richard Bellemare

New Milford, CT Richard M. Bellemare, 68, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at New Milford Hospital.
Richard was born on March 19, 1949 in Waterbury, CT a son of the late Ubald and Marion (Wood) Bellemare and had lived in New Milford for the past 20 years, where he had worked as a produce manager at Stop & Shop before retiring. Richard was a proud U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. He was a big NASCAR fan and his favorite driver was #18 Kyle Busch.
Richard is survived by his sons, Richard M. Bellemare, Jr., Brian Bellemare and his wife Susan and Christopher Bellemare and his wife Jessica; his daughters, Tammy Bellemare and Amy Bellemare; his brother, David Bellemare and his wife Blanche; his sister, Arlene Boisvert and his 5 grandchildren.
Services and burial are private. There are no calling hours and arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck
