Belinda Dafney

WATERBURY; Belinda Dafney, 58 of Waterbury, passed away Tuesday October 11, 2022 at her home.

Belinda was born November 4, 1963 in Waterbury a daughter of the late Bernard and Edith (Sockwell) Dafney and was a lifelong Waterbury resident. She was a graduate of Wilby High School and had worked at the Waterbury Republican and American for many years. Belinda loved her family, God, TV game shows, dining out and going to bingo. She was a kind person always willing to lend a helping hand. Belinda was a bright light in a sometimes-dark world, which would be a much better place if there were more people who cared as much as she did. Rest in peace our beloved sister, cousin, niece, and friend. You will be missed.

She leaves her sister Sheila Walauskas of Waterbury as well as many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. She was predeceased by her son.

Family and friends may gather at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury 496 Chase Avenue on Friday November 11, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with a memorial service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be held privately.
