PROSPECT — Mr. Paul A. Beaudoin, age 93, of Prospect, died Friday Jan. 13, 2012, at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband for 66 years of the late Marion (Murray) Beaudoin.
Mr. Beaudoin was born on March 21, 1918, in St. Simon de Bagot, Quebec, Canada, a son of the late Ovila and Rachel (Lussier) Beaudoin, and became a U.S. citizen in 1950. He was retired from Vallerie's Trucking and also formerly worked at Darcey Trucking, having worked as a truck driver from 1943 to 1978. He was a member of Teamsters Local 677 and a communicant of St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church in Prospect. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed going to Dunkin Donuts everyday for coffee and a muffin and going to American Steakhouse for dinner.
Mr. Beaudoin is survived by six children: son, Fred A. Beaudoin and his wife, Jeanie, of Prospect; daughter, Pauline Pelton and her husband, Eddy, of Waterbury; daughter, Maryann Daddona and her husband, Louis, of Naugatuck; son, Thomas Beaudoin and his wife, Leigh, of Northfield; daughter, Carol Korowlotny and her husband, Frank, of Prospect; and daughter, Terri Brouillard and her husband, Dave, of Naugatuck; one brother, Richard Beaudoin of Prospect; one sister, Jean Mitrulevich of Oakville; one sister-in-law, Lillian Ritter and her husband, Ron, of Thomaston; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, several foster children and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Maryellen Beaudoin, two sons, Rodney and Richard Beaudoin, several brothers and sisters, eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, at 10 a.m. at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Road, Prospect. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
