CHESHIRE - Barbara “Bobbi” Blakeslee DeWolf died on November 7, 2016 with her two daughters by her side. She has made Cheshire her home for over sixty years. She was born April 30, 1930 in North Haven, CT. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mrytle Blakeslee and predeceased by her brother Raymond Blakeslee of South Carolina.
She is survived by two daughters which were the loves of her life, Sharon Loughead and Denise Race and her husband Don, sister-in-law Rosanna, niece Rodney of MA and nephew Roland and his wife Annie of Madison, grandchildren, Sean and Michael Race of Burlington, Vermont, Sheri Foti, Shelly Peterson, TJ Sigel and Shelby Wilson. Great grandchildren, Audra, Robert, Kyle, Jenna, Dylan, Tyler, Josh, Megan and Jake. She attended North Haven Schools and Hamden Hall.
She was a graduate of Barbizon Modeling School in New York and worked as a fashion and runway model for the Ford Agency in New York. She also taught dancing at the Arthur Murray dance studio in New York. She worked for Harold’s Formal Wear in New Haven as a bridal and gown consultant. She became very active with the seniors at Hillside Village where she lived for over 23 years.
Arrangements – Funeral services will held on Thursday November 10, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. Burial will follow in North Haven Center Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday morning for 9 until the service starts at 11.
