Barbara B. Partiss

WATERBURY- Barbara B. Partiss, 93, known as “Mom P” passed away, Friday December 28, 2018 at Cheshire House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence K. Partiss in 2001 after 56 years of marriage.

She was born September 15, 1925 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Rufus and Elsie (Wilson) Beach.

Barbara was a Sales Associate for T.J Maxx prior to her retirement. Mrs. Partiss was a member of Mill Plain Union Church. In her free time, she loved crafts and crocheting, was known as an excellent seamstress who made costumes for Curtain Players, loved watching UCONN Basketball, square dancing, baking during the holiday season, and above all spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children Lorene A. Partiss of Waterbury, Cynthia and her husband Peter Lango of Waterbury, Daniel and his wife Aristia of Geff, Illinois, Howard and his wife Janette of Ellabell, GA, Janice and her husband William McLaughlin of Evington, VA, Kathryn and her husband Robert Fratea of Waterbury; her brother Elmer Beach and his wife Gloria of Canoga Park CA; her sister Jean Hart of Waterbury; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Barbara was predeceased by her three sisters, Lois Beach, Mary Bertrand, and Roberta Vallerand.

Arrangements- Celebration of Life Service for Barbara will be held 10:00 A.M on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Mill Plain Union Church, 242 Southmayd Road Waterbury CT 06705. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at church, and there are no calling hours. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 496 Chase Ave, is assisting the family with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers we are requesting donations to the Mill Plain Union Church Endowment Fund, or your favorite charity in her name.
