Barbara C. Appicella

Barbara C. Appicella, 88, of Cheshire, long-time resident of Hamden, beloved wife of the late Eugene Michael Appicella, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2025. She was born on September 20, 1936, to the late Charles and Bernice Colby.

Barbara went to Hamden High School and began working at Winchester/Olin Corporation shortly after graduation. She lived most of her life in Hamden until moving to Elim Park in Cheshire approximately twelve years ago. While living at Elim Park, she enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting, crafting and reading. Barbara was a lifelong member of Hamden Fish and Game, where she enjoyed spending time fishing, skeet shooting and picnicking with her friends.

Barbara leaves behind several cousins in the area and many friends at Elim Park.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home, 615 South Main St., Cheshire, CT. Burial will be private.
