Chester Baldowski

NAUGATUCK - Chester Baldowski, 85, formerly of Hilltop Ave., Waterbury, passed away on Monday, Jan. 31, 2011, at Beacon Brook Healthcare Center.
Mr. Baldowski was born Oct. 28, 1925, in Plains, Pa., a son of the late Frank and Josephine (Popko) (Baldowski) Burnham. He was retired from Bristol Babcock Co. where he worked for many years. He was very active with his church, loved to travel and enjoyed art. He was involved with stocks, played the piano and violin, and also dabbled in photography. He was very family oriented and a nature lover.
He is survived by three daughters, Sandra Epstein of Waterbury, Linda Jackson of Wallingford, and Marion Quinones of Joppa, Md.; a son, Chester Rajkowski of Prospect; a brother, Zygmunt Baldowski of Prospect; a sister, Wanda Nasses of Phoenix, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Michael Monetti and Julie Smith; two great-grandchildren, Tyler Pacetti and Victoria Smith; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandchild, Angel Quinones.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at Holy Savior Church, 118 Prospect St., Naugatuck. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be in Holy Savior Cemetery in the spring. Friends may call at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Road, Route 69, Prospect, on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.
