August Cipully

Wappingers Falls, NY- August Rudolph Cipully, 82, of Wappingers Falls passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Saturday, November 2, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY. He was the husband of the late Maureen Cipully.

August was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 2, 1931, son of Dominick and Helen Cipully. He is predeceased by his brother, Rudolph.

August preferred to be called "Buddy" and that's how everyone knew him. He spent his early years on the Brooklyn Navy Yard water front as a long shore man. Later, he would spend most of his adult life as a mechanic. He prided himself in the ability to fix anything and fashioned himself as an all-around handyman. He loved being on the water and especially loved swimming and boating.

Buddy leaves behind his five children: three sons, John, August, and Dominick; his two daughters Maureen and Doreen; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Arrangements - Calling hours will be held Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the Alderson Funeral

Home of Cheshire 615 South Main Street. Funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to an organization of the donor's choice.
