Kathleen Ash

North Providence, RI Kathleen M. Ash, 72, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at the Providence VA Medical Center in Providence, Rhode Island.

Kathleen was born on December 21, 1944 in Waterbury, CT a daughter of the late Edward J. and Mary A. (Allen) Ash and had lived in Rhode Island for the past 50 years. Kathleen was a U.S. Navy Vietnam War Veteran and a former business owner in Rhode Island.

Kathleen is survived by her sisters, Ann Pugliese and her husband Charlie and Margaret “Peggy” Styfco and her husband Bob; her brother, Edward J. Ash, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many friends in Rhode Island. In addition to her parents, Kathleen was predeceased by her brother Francis Ash.

Visitation is Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 9-10am at the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Springs Avenue, North Providence, RI, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am at Mary Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth Street, North Providence. Burial with Military Honors will follow in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, RI. To honor Kathleen’s memory, contributions may be made to the Veterans Administration Medical Center, 830 Chalkstone Ave., Providence, RI 02908.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated, Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 11am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck, CT and arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck, CT.
