WATERBURY- Arthur R. Hansen, age 86, of Waterbury entered into rest on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the Village of East Farms in Waterbury. He was the devoted husband of Sandra (Wright) Hansen who he was married to for 58 years.
Mr. Hansen was born on February 16, 1931 in Waterbury, son of the late Arthur and Gertrude (Pinney) Hansen.
He was a graduate from UCONN, and served proudly for four years in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Art worked as a sales project estimator for Bristol Babcock for over 26 years and later as an inside service coordinator for Flocon, Inc. for 13 years until his retirement. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Southington. Above all he loved spending time with his family, watching Uconn Women’s Basketball, the Boston Red Sox, and Golf.
Arthur was the beloved father of Glenn A. Hansen and his wife Lisa of Glastonbury and Linda Grenier and her husband Lee of Waterbury; loving grandfather of Laura Grenier. He was predeceased by his brother, Douglas Hansen.
Arrangements- A Memorial Service for Mr. Hansen will be held, 10 A.M, Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the First Congregational Church of Southington, 37 Main St, Southington, CT 06489. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at church. A private burial was held in All Saints Cemetery, and there are no calling hours. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 496 Chase Ave, 06704 is assisting the family with the arrangements.
