Arthur K. Schneider

Wolcott - Arthur K. Schneider, 70, passed away on Wednesday February 8, 2017 at his home. He was born in Schenectady, NY on April 27, 1946. Arthur spent all of his life in Connecticut.

Arthur is survived by his beloved partner of 16 years, Susan Proto, and her 2 sons, Jonathan and Matthew. He is also survived by his brother, Floyd (Julie) Schneider of Huntley, IL, his niece, Amy (Rob) Gochoel of Cincinnati, OH., his nephew, Tom (Louisa) Schneider of Larchmont, N.Y. and six great nieces and nephews, several cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Floyd and Elizabeth Schneider.

Arthur was a very accomplished carpenter and was very creative. He loved the outdoors where he enjoyed golfing with his best friends, biking, kayaking, bird watching and gardening. He was a US Army veteran.

Arthur was a kind man with a loving and giving heart. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Friends are invited to greet his family at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St., Cheshire, CT 06410 on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 from 10am until 11am. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave, North Haven.
