OCALA, FL.- Mr. Arthur F. Boulanger ,Jr. 84, of Ocala, FL. and a former resident of greater Waterbury, passed away Wednesday Mar. 28, 2012 at the Ocala Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Kathleen A. (Nagle) Boulanger.
Mr. Boulanger was born in Waterbury, Sept. 7, 1927, a son of the late Arthur F. Boulanger, Sr. and the late Florence (Nelson) Boulanger and was raised in Wolcott. He was educated in the local school system and was a graduate Sacred Heart High School in Waterbury and Fairfield University and was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of WW II. He was raised in Wolcott and later moved to Naugatuck residing there for over 20 years. He then moved to Waterbury living there until moving to Ocala, FL. in 1994. He was a retired Quality Control Manager for Highland Mfg. Co, retiring in 1989, after 14 years of service. He was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Parish in Ocala, and while a Naugatuck resident, was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Union City. His hobbies included, playing Contract Bridge, and was a Certified Life Master of the American Contract Bridge League.
He leaves 3 sons, Michael F. Boulanger of Rocky Hill, Mark T. Boulanger and Arthur A. Boulanger, both of Waterbury; one sister, Claire Wise of Houston, TX ; a sister-in-law, Carol Boulanger, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 3 brothers, Edmund, Richard and Howard Boulanger.
His funeral will be held on Monday April 2, 2012 at 9:15 a.m. from the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. and proceed to St. Mary's Church 338 North Main St., Union City, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Bridget Cemetery, Higgins Rd., Cheshire. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday April 1, 2012 from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, friends may make memorial contributions to a charity of the donor's choice.
