Anthony “Tony” Berardi, born January 9, 1937, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2020, at St. Mary Hospital. He was the life partner of Suzanne Guglielmino who he loved dearly for nearly 24 years.
Tony was born in Waterbury, the son of the late Michael and Marie (Barbieri) Berardi. He was a longtime Waterbury resident and had resided in Prospect before recently settling in Cheshire. He was an employee of the Reymond Baking Company in Waterbury.
Tony's loss will be felt deeply by his numerous friends from his school days especially Dick, Dee, and Turso; his card game friends, bowling teammates, golf buddies as well as friends he and Suzanne shared many wonderful times with at the B.P.O.E. Lodge No. 265 in Waterbury.
Tony lived a full life. He served our country in the United States Army, and stayed active in his retirement spending time with family and friends, doing puzzles and other various activities with the Elks. He was one of “Santa’s Helpers” for many years at the Elks Lodge for underprivileged kids.
He had a heart of gold and will be greatly missed by those that loved and cherished their time with him.
Tony is survived by his children Michael Berardi, Lynn Chamberlain, and her husband Bill, Lisa McKeon, and her husband Tim and Suzanne's two children, Angela Raymond and Scott Guglielmino and his wife Pam. Tony was the proud grandfather of Kyle, Michael, William, Stephanie, Harlie, Alyssa, Rachel, Sydney, Trevor, Owen, Molly, and Jake as well as the great grandfather to Chloe-Pearl, Lilian, Vivian, Emily, Dennis, and Grayson. Tony also is survived by his brother John Berardi and his sons Bobby and Jimmy and Jimmy’s wife Debbie; his sister in law, Jill Clay of England, daughter in law Simone Gagnon, his niece Patty Coviello, his nephew Jason Coviello and his wife Keeley, their children, Giana, Joshua, and Jonah. In addition to his parents, Tony is predeceased by his brother Pat, sister-in-laws Jean and Sara as well as his beloved son Tony.
Arrangements – A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at 11 am at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Watertown. The Alderson-ford Funeral Home of Cheshire is assisting with arrangements.
