CHESHIRE – Anthony DeSantis, 61, passed away peacefully Friday October 3, 2014 after a long illness. He was the husband of Jean (Quigley) DeSantis.
Mr. DeSantis was born March 28, 1953 in Miami, FL, the son of the late Angelo and Frances (Maturo) DeSantis. He was a longtime Cheshire resident where he was a communicant of St. Thomas Becket Church. He was Vice President of Sales for City Line Distributors. Tony lived life to the fullest. He was an avid golfer and was a 30 plus year member of the Wallingford Country Club where he served on the board of governors for multiple terms.
Tony loved to travel, he always enjoyed fine cuisine and his greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren whom he dearly loved. He had a positive attitude, which he bestowed to all his family and friends. Tony will be truly missed by all those lives he has touched.
Besides his wife of 9 years, Mr. DeSantis is survived by his daughter Jennifer Paul and her husband Joe of Cheshire; his three sons Paul DeSantis of New London, Richard DeSantis and his wife Jenn Perry of Elizabethtown, KY, and Anthony "AJ" DeSantis of Waterbury; his brother Jospeh DeSantis and his wife Ludmilla "Lucy" of Boca Raton, FL; his Step-Daughter, Beth Lentini and her husband Mark Scott of Niantic; his Step-Son, Bryan Lentini and his wife Kristin of Cheshire; his Grandchildren, Colby Paul, Makenna Paul, Ceara Paul, Ryland DeSantis, Ashley Lentini, Tyler Lentini, Andrew Lentini; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his first wife JoAnn (Martino) DeSantis.
Arrangements – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday October 8, 2014, at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Becket Church, 435 N. Brooksvale Road, Cheshire. Friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S.
