CHESHIRE - Anthony G. Arisco Sr., 92, of Cheshire, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 7, 2014 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of the late Helen (Chmura) Arisco.
Born in Bethany on June 4th 1921, and raised in Cheshire, he was the son of Alexander Arisco Sr. and Assunta (Lericia) Arisco. He was the founder of Arisco Landscaping of Cheshire in the 1950's and he took great pride in designing the landscape of the numerous properties he worked on throughout the state.
He was a US Army Veteran of World War II having served in Italy. Tony loved music, singing in Italian, winters in Florida in his motor home, and driving a tractor. He lived every day to the fullest with a sharp mind and quick wit. His memory will be cherished by his two sons, Anthony Arisco Jr. and Richard Arisco, daughter-in-law Silvia Arisco, son-in-law William Pepoy, grandchildren William Pepoy Jr., Chris Pepoy, Cary Arisco and Brittney Arisco. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his daughter Toni Marie Pepoy.
Arrangements - Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at 10:15 am from the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire 615 S. Main St. to St. Bridget Church for Mass at 11am. Burial will follow at St. Bridget Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday morning from 9 to 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home.
