Anthony "AJ" Lamanno, Jr.

Anthony J. Lamanno, Jr., lovingly known as “AJ”, of Middlebury, formerly of Naugatuck, passed away on March 7, 2025. AJ was born on April 21, 1981, in Waterbury, CT, the son of Anthony J. and Doreen Lamanno, Sr.

AJ was a 1999 graduate of Naugatuck High School and earned his bachelor’s degree from New England Institute of Technology in Rhode Island. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, NY Giants, NJ Devils and Liverpool Soccer Team. When he wasn’t cheering on his favorite sports team, some of AJ’s favorite hobbies were golfing and fishing. AJ greatly enjoyed horror movies and even wrote and directed some of his own films.

In addition to his parents, AJ leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members and friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Daniel and Violet Lamanno and his maternal grandparents, Robert and Lois Wooster.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Buckmiller Ford Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck, CT. Burial will follow at Wooster Cemetery, East Waterbury Rd., Naugatuck, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Middlebury Land Trust, PO Box 193, Middlebury, CT 06762 or online.
