Anna C. Kallgren, age 95, of Cheshire entered into rest on Friday, August 1, 2014 in Elim Park Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. Anna was born on January 25, 1919 in Woodstock, daughter of the late Gustav Gunnar and Anna Lovisa Helena (Pettersson) Kallgren, and was a Woodstock resident for most of her life.

Anna was a graduate of Providence Bible Institute and was trained as a RN at Bingham School of Nursing in Boston. She worked as a nurse at Day Kimble Hospital in Putnam, CT for a number of years. Anna loved her Swedish heritage, keeping in touch by mail with many relatives there and traveling to Sweden to visit them. She also traveled to some European countries, in which her father accompanied her on several of the trips. Anna enjoyed teaching piano lessons and she and her father would often attend Christian outdoor camp meetings in the summer. She was a parishioner of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Woodstock, as a committed Christian, Anna is now with her Heavenly Father.

Anna is survived by several family members. She was predeceased by her infant brother Bror Gunnar Kallgren.

A graveside service for Anna will be held at the convenience of her family in the Elmvale Cemetery in Woodstock. All of her services will be private. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire has been entrusted with her arrangements.
