Ann McGann Propper

Ann McGann Propper, age 93, of Southbury entered into rest on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at her home. She was the devoted wife of the late James M. Propper. Ann was born on February 6, 1931 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Earl and Pearl (Curtis) McGann. 

She attended local schools, graduating from St. Margaret School before attending Mt. Holyoke College and earned her Master’s degree from the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce at the University of Pennsylvania. Shortly after, she began working at Fidelity Mutual in Philadelphia as a financial analyst, and later she assembled the financial package for Heritage Village. She retired from Western Savings Bank, where she worked as the Bank Economist; it was then that Ann came to Southbury and opened her own investment office in Heritage Village, serving private clients. Ann also became a stockbroker, working for several brokerage companies. She was a former director of Pomperaug Woods and Heritage Crest Condominium Association.

Ann is the beloved Aunt of Jennifer McGann of CA; and Earl McGann of Woodbury; and is survived by her sister-in-law, Anne McGann of Woodbury. She was predeceased by her brother, Attorney Curtis McGann.

A Graveside Service for Ann will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 11AM at Riverside Cemetery, 496 Riverside St., Waterbury, CT 06708.
