NAUGATUCK - Ann C. Pignataro, 81, passed away Monday September 17, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury. She was the wife of Rocco Pignataro.
Mrs. Pignataro was born December 11, 1930 in County Mayo, Ireland the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (Franey) Ginty. She was a woman of strong faith who was a communicant of St. Vincent Ferrer Church. She was a Naugatuck resident for the last ten years having previously resided in Greenwich.
Besides her husband of 50 years, Mrs. Pignataro is survived by her sons Rocco Pignataro Jr. of New Hampshire, Frank Pignataro of Bridgeport, and Dwayne Pignataro of Florida; her daughters Joan Gramble, with whom she made her home and Rene Schmaling of Greenwich; her brothers Frank, Joseph and Lawrence Ginty; her sisters Nora O'Hara and Frances Quigley; eleven grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Peggy Sheridan and Bridgette Ginty and her brothers John, Michael, and Vincent Ginty.
Arrangements - Funeral services will be held on Thursday September 20, 2012, 9:15 a.m. from the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. to St. Vincent Ferrer Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
