CHESHIRE- Ann M. Massimino, 77, passed away Saturday March 10, 2012 at Mid-State Medical Center in Meriden.

She was born September 2, 1934 in New Haven; daughter of the late Harry and Dora Massimino.

Ann was a graduate of St. Mary's Academy in New Haven, and later graduated from Quinnipiac College (which eventually became Quinnipiac University). She then furthered her education by obtaining a Masters Degree in Psychology at the University of Bridgeport.

She was a faculty member at Quinnipiac College and Director of Placement for many years, and, admired by many for her dedication to the college over those years.

She also worked and retired from the United Illuminating Company, and, was a local realtor with the Beazley Company in later years.

In earlier years, many would be surprised, she also had her pilot's license and operated a Luscombe.

Ann was a dedicated member in various areas of St. Bridget Church; beloved by many members and surely will be missed. She was also active in the Cheshire Historical Society.

She is survived by a brother John Massimino of Cheshire; a sister Helen Perkins of Chattanooga, TN; a nephew Jason Perkins of Charlotte, NC; a niece Hollis Keene of Chattanooga, TN; and a great niece Olivia Keene. She was predeceased by her brother Jerry Massimino.

Arrangements- A Mass of Christian Burial for Ann will be held Friday March 16, 2012 at St. Bridget's Church, 175 Main St, Cheshire, 06410 at 11 A.M. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery, Higgins Rd, Cheshire, 06410. There are no calling hours. Donations in her name may be made to the Cheshire Animal Shelter, (for she had a great love and passion for the German Short Hair Pointer breed), 500 Highland Ave, Cheshire, CT 06410.
