Ann F. DeLuca

Middlebury - Ann F. DeLuca, 89, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at her home after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.  She was the beloved wife of Russell DeLuca.

Mrs. DeLuca was born June 26, 1933, in New Milford, the daughter of the late Columbo and Rose (Hermalak) Godio.  She was a graduate of Watertown High School. After her graduation from Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing, she worked as a supervisor for the Watertown VNA, a school nurse at Westover School, and the Connecticut Department of Transportation as an Occupational Health Nurse. Ann was an avid reader, gardener, and bridge player who also enjoyed traveling and walking clubs.

Besides her husband of 68 years, Ann is survived by her daughter Susan Stramiello and her husband Stephen; her sister-in-law Carmel Desjardins; her grandchild Natalie DeLuca; as well as several nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her son David.

The family is forever grateful for the love, support, and homecare from her personal aides:  Jessica, Tonya, and Adelaide. Thank you to Masonic Care and The Key for their support. We are especially grateful to our dear family friend, Yana for her kindness and assistance.
